Account information: When you register, we collect your full name, email address, password (encrypted), and selected role (student, freelancer, counsellor, or data officer).

Profile information: Students may provide phone number, country of interest, course interests, preferred schools, intake month, and program level. Counsellors and freelancers may add notes and assignment details for the students they support.

Documents: Students upload documents such as passports, academic transcripts, statements of purpose, and other application materials. These files are stored securely and shared only with the counsellor and staff assigned to your case.

Messages and comments: Any messages exchanged between you and your counsellor, and internal notes attached to your case, are stored to support your application journey.

Usage and device information: We automatically collect device identifiers, operating system, app version, and approximate usage data to provide and improve the service.

2. Device Permissions

To enable core features, the App may request the following device permissions. Each permission is used only for the purpose described and can be managed in your device settings:

• Camera and Photo Library: Used to capture or select documents and profile images for upload.
• Storage / Files: Used to attach documents, invoices, and supporting files to your case or messages.
• Notifications: Used to alert you to application updates, messages, and deadlines. You can disable notifications at any time without affecting other features.
• Network Access: Required to sync your data with our secure servers.

We do not access your contacts, location, microphone (other than for document capture where applicable), or biometric data.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and assign you to the correct portal.
• To process university applications, visa counselling, flight booking, and accommodation services.
• To allow counsellors, freelancers, and data officers to collaborate on your case.
• To send you notifications, reminders, and updates about your applications and deadlines.
• To maintain audit logs for security and compliance, accessible only to administrators.
• To improve the App, diagnose technical issues, and prevent fraud or misuse.

4. How We Share Your Information

Your information is shared strictly on a need-to-know basis:

• Assigned staff: Your assigned counsellor and freelancer can view your profile, documents, and applications relevant to your case.
• Educational partners: We share application details with institutions you apply to, only with your consent, to progress your admissions.
• Service providers: We use trusted hosting and cloud storage providers to operate the App. They process data on our behalf and under strict confidentiality.
• Legal compliance: We may disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Jokings Educare, our users, or others.

We never sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account at any time; certain records may be retained to comply with legal obligations or legitimate business needs.

6. Data Security

We protect your data with role-based access controls, encrypted transmission, secure cloud storage, and audit logging. Only authorized staff can access records relevant to their role. Despite these measures, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

7. Your Rights
